A recruiter in Dallas pitched me a $4,500 retainer agency and I caught the fake case study in 10 minutes
I sat in on a pitch call last Tuesday where this Dallas agency quoted $4,500 a month and flashed a case study showing a client going from 2k to 40k monthly visitors. I pulled up the client's site mid-call and it was a dead parked domain with a GoDaddy banner. The guy stammered something about a rebrand, so I asked for the client's direct contact and he said they had an NDA on results. I walked, and three weeks later a friend confirmed the same shop used the exact same deck on him. How do you all verify case studies before signing anything?
