Did they actually promise you specific deliverables in writing before you paid? I got burned the same way by a "digital strategist" who sent me a checklist I could've printed from HubSpot's blog for free. What I learned is you need to ask for case studies from clients in your exact industry, not just generic ones. Also get them to put specific numbers in the contract like "increase organic traffic by X% within 60 days" or "generate Y leads per week." Most of these agencies collapse when you make them prove their methods actually work.
