The day I realized I was over-explaining every project to clients

I used to write these huge emails breaking down every little step of my marketing campaigns. Then last month a client in Denver forwarded one to their boss and said it was confusing. That's when it hit me. They just wanted the bottom line, not my whole process. I cut my reports down to one page with bullet points and a clear number at the top. Has anyone else had a client tell you straight up that your updates are too detailed?

I mean, one confused boss and now you're writing one page reports? Feels dramatic lol.

oh man, this one friend of mine had a boss who got confused by a single email chain and suddenly they had to write a full page for every tiny update. it was like, "hey, the coffee machine is fixed" boom, a whole report. total overkill, lol
