Frozen store-bought wings vs homemade seasoned ones in the air fryer

I used to just throw frozen wings straight from the bag into my air fryer and call it dinner. Last week I tried making my own with a dry rub and letting them sit for 20 minutes first, the difference in crispiness and flavor was night and day. Has anyone else made the switch from frozen to homemade and actually stuck with it?

Wait, you only let them sit for 20 minutes? I let my homemade rub sit on the wings overnight in the fridge and it changed my whole life. Did you even try a full marinade or just a dry rub?
