Hot take: air fryer liners are a trap and I learned the hard way
I kept seeing everyone rave about those parchment paper liners for air fryers, so I finally bought a pack of 50 at Target for like $8. First few uses were fine, but then last Tuesday I made some chicken thighs and the liner completely blocked the airflow. The bottom got all soggy and the top was burnt after 20 minutes at 375. I spent an hour scrubbing grease off the heating element because the liner didn't catch all the drips like I thought. Took me three more tries with different types before I realized the basket itself works way better without anything in it. Am I the only one who thinks these liners cause more problems than they solve? Anyone else just go liner free now?

Yeah my buddy Mark tried those liners and said his wings came out looking like they took a bath and then a sunburn. He switched to just spraying the basket with a little oil and wiping it down after each use and hasn't looked back. Honestly I think the companies just found a way to sell us trash bags for our kitchen gadgets.
