I was at my sister's place in Denver last Christmas and saw her air fry a whole chicken
It was wild. She just patted it dry, rubbed some salt and pepper on it, and put the whole thing in her basket. I always thought air fryers were just for frozen fries or reheating pizza. But she set it for 75 minutes at 360 degrees, and it came out looking like it was from a fancy restaurant, crispy skin and everything. I tried it myself a week later with a 4-pound bird and it worked perfectly, no messing with a big oven. It totally changed how I cook for just me and my partner now. I don't even buy those little rotisserie chickens from the store anymore. Has anyone else tried doing a whole roast chicken in theirs, and what kind of rubs do you use?

My oven gives it a better crisp, honestly.

Air fryers can actually get skin crispier than ovens because the fan blows hot air directly on it. The key is patting the chicken super dry first. I use a simple rub with paprika, garlic powder, and brown sugar for a little caramelization.
