Showerthought: Preheating the air fryer isn't always worth it
I was making frozen chicken wings last week and decided to skip the 3 minute preheat as a test. Honestly, they came out just as crispy after the full 18 minutes at 400 degrees. The only difference was I saved a bit of time and electricity. Now I'm wondering if preheating is really necessary for other things like fries or veggies. Has anyone else experimented with skipping preheat on certain foods?

I've been skipping preheat on frozen stuff in my Cosori for like 6 months now. The key is you gotta add 2-3 minutes to the cook time if you skip it though, otherwise things come out a little soft. For fresh veggies like zucchini or asparagus I still preheat because they cook so fast that those first few minutes actually matter more.

Saving a bit of time and electricity" - come on, it's THREE minutes. Are we really out here trying to squeeze every last second out of our day?
