Vent: my air fryer chicken wings came out like rubber last night
I tried making wings in my air fryer for the first time last night. Followed a recipe from a blog that said 400 degrees for 25 minutes. They came out super chewy and not crispy at all. Did I just cook them too long or is there a trick to getting the skin right? Has anyone else had this problem with wings?

Did you pat the wings dry before you seasoned them? I tried tossing mine in a little baking powder and salt before cooking and they came out way crispier.

Nah, I Actually skip the drying step and just go straight to tossing them in sauce. The extra moisture helps the seasoning Stick better and you get a more even coverage, plus it steams off in the oven anyway. I've never bothered with baking powder and my wings come out plenty crispy so I really don't see the point of adding more steps.
