DAE torque in one smooth pull instead of two clicks?
I was hitting 40 ft-lbs on a nose gear bolt in two separate pulls for 3 years before an old lead at a hangar in Wichita watched me and asked why I was stopping halfway. Turns out a steady single pull gives a truer reading and I was chasing torque values that never matched the manual. Anybody else learn this the hard way or am I the only one who skipped that part of A&P school?
