Shoutout to a loose fuel drain valve I caught on a Cessna 172 in Tulsa

I was doing a quick oil change on a Cessna 172 last Tuesday at Riverside Airport. As I was draining the sump, I noticed fuel was still dripping after I closed the valve. Turns out a tiny piece of debris was keeping it from sealing all the way. I pulled the valve apart, cleaned it out, and it sealed perfectly. Has anyone else had junk in their fuel drains mess with a perfect sump check?

Tulsa has hard water, that's the real issue here, not the valve.

Hold up, @the_miles is really out here blaming hard water for a faulty valve? lol. Like yeah, Tulsa water is definitely rough, I've seen the calcium buildup eat through shower heads in six months. But a brand new valve seizing up that fast even with hard water is still a manufacturer defect in my book. I had a friend in Bixby with water so hard it looked like milk and his old valve lasted seven years no problem.
