That time a 737 hydraulic line sprayed me at O'Hare
Back in 2011 I was doing a brake job on a 737 at O'Hare and forgot to pin the pedals before cracking the line. Red fluid shot straight into my face, felt like a warm paintball, and my eyesight went hazy for a second. The lead mechanic just laughed and handed me a rag, said "welcome to the trade, kid" before showing me the correct bleed procedure. Cost us about an hour of ramp time and a full can of Skydrol cleanup, but I never skip the pedal lock now. Anyone else got a training moment that stuck with them forever?
