A yapping dog and my mixed-up wires created a happy accident
I was at this old house with wooden windows that creaked if you breathed on them. The homeowner's little dog barked at my ladder the whole time I was putting in window contacts. Got my wires crossed, literally, and thought I messed up. But it made the alarm notice real breaks quicker, which the client really liked. A noisy job turned into a better setup for them.

Totally get what kevin_lee75 means about mistakes fixing things. I mean, sometimes messing up forces you to see a problem in a new way, and you end up with a better fix. Idk, maybe it's just me but those happy accidents can be the best part of the job.
