Can we talk about wireless vs hardwired for commercial jobs
I keep seeing guys push Honeywell wireless panels for warehouses and office buildings, but I'm not buying it. Did a 12,000 sq ft office last month and ran all cat6 to every door and motion sensor. Took an extra day of fishing cable but the signal was rock solid and I didn't have to change a single battery. Anyone else think wireless is getting overhyped for big commercial spaces?

Battery tech is the real wildcard nobody's talking about here.

Did I just spend three days running cat6 through drop ceilings for a 10,000 sq ft warehouse while my buddy finished the whole job in a day with wireless panels? Yeah, maybe my approach is the problem. I mean, sure, the signal never dropped and I didn't have to swap a single battery, but my back definitely felt that extra fishing day. I guess I just figure all that wireless interference from the machinery and metal shelving would mess with things, plus I secretly enjoy crawling around in attics like a raccoon with a crimper.
