Dual path vs cellular only for a beach house install
Had to pick between a dual path communicator and just cellular for a job down in Galveston. Went with dual path since the owner mentioned storms knock out towers sometimes. Any of you skip the landline backup on coastal jobs?

ok but hear me out, cellular only is honestly fine for 90% of beach houses. i've got 4 cellular-only systems in coastal areas and they've been rock solid. the whole dual path thing is just extra cost and complexity for a problem that barely ever happens. storms knock towers down maybe once every couple years, and even then it's back up in a few hours. plus with a beach house you're dealing with salt air eating those landline connections faster than anything.
