Picked a wired system over wireless for a big commercial job

Just finished a 12 zone install at a warehouse in Phoenix. Owner wanted wireless for the ease. I pushed for hardwired instead. Sensors are more reliable and no battery swaps across 15,000 square feet. Went with 22/4 stranded cable throughout. Took me two extra days but the signal is rock solid. Anyone else deal with pushback on wired vs wireless for commercial?

Honestly I gotta disagree here. Wireless tech has come a long way and in a huge warehouse you saved maybe a few headaches but added way more labor cost than just swapping batteries once a year.

You're dead on @jordan305. We tested wireless in our smaller facility first and it was constant signal dropouts near the metal racking. Ended up running cables anyway after two months of fighting it. That yearly battery swap takes maybe an hour total versus hours wasted troubleshooting dead nodes.
