Got told by a Red Seal in Red Deer that my quotes were too vague, so I changed how I write them
Had a guy with 25 years in the trade look over one of my estimates for a panel upgrade in Red Deer and he said "this tells the customer nothing, it just says work." So now every quote I send lists the exact parts, hours, and permit fees line by line instead of one lump number, and I've gotten way fewer callbacks asking what the price actually covers. Do most of you break it down like that or just hand over a total?
