I finally noticed a huge shift in how new builds are handling foundation drainage
Built houses 10 years ago and we just did gravel and weeping tile. Now every new site I'm on uses that dimpled membrane wrap with a filter sock. Did the membrane really cut down on callbacks or is it just a upsell from suppliers?

Nodded along reading this cause Ive seen the exact same thing on my jobsites. Switched to dimpled membrane about 3 years ago and callbacks for wet basements dropped by like 80% I swear. Gravel and weeping tile worked fine in perfect conditions but the membrane just handles the random heavy rain events way better. Plus its way less labour to install which is a win for everyone.

@grant.jade is dead on about those callbacks dropping off. I've been watching the same thing on sites here and it is night and day difference in the heavy storms we get now. The membrane just makes more sense for how unpredictable weather has gotten.
