Pro tip: hired a Red Seal plumber vs a handyman for my basement rough-in in Calgary
Had to pick between a Red Seal plumber at $95 an hour or a handyman who quoted me a flat $1,200 for the whole basement rough-in. Went with the handyman because the price was way easier to swallow. Six months later, the inspector in Calgary failed it for wrong slope on the drain and no venting, and I paid a real plumber $2,800 to redo the whole thing. So who do you guys actually call for rough-ins, or is it always licensed only for you?
