Serious question, had a 40 year old furnace die on me in Red Deer and the homeowner blamed my wiring
Ngl, I was doing a panel upgrade in Red Deer back in 2019 and the old furnace quit the same afternoon I finished. Homeowner swore I fried it, said the blower ran fine until I touched the breaker box, so I pulled the cover and showed him the cracked heat exchanger and the scorched wire nut a previous guy had twisted on with no tape. I paid $90 for an inspection from a heating guy I know, got it in writing that it was already on its way out, and the homeowner calmed down. Tbh the old boys I started under would have just argued it out on the driveway, no paperwork, no nothing. Now I take a phone video of every panel before I open it, does anyone else do that or am I wasting my time?
