Shoutout to swapping from a skid steer to a compact track loader for my foundation digs

Did three basements in Airdrie last month with my old skid steer and kept getting stuck in the mud after rain. Rented a CTL for the fourth job and finished it in half the time with zero bogging down. Anyone else made the switch and noticed a big difference on wet sites?

Yeah the weight distribution makes all the difference... I switched for the same reason and never looked back.

Yeah, the bogging down thing is a nightmare on wet sites. I've seen guys spend half a day trying to dig out a stuck skid steer after a rain. The CTL's tracks spread the weight out way better, so you don't get that sinking feeling. It's like night and day on a soft lot, even with a decent bucket. The other thing nobody talks about is how much smoother the ride is with tracks, your back will thank you after a long day. Only downside I've found is they can tear up a nice lawn if you're not careful, but for digging, it's no contest.
