Watched a roofer buddy demo a tear-off and it changed how I bid jobs

He was up on a house in Leduc last month, and I saw him strip a whole south-facing slope in under 20 minutes. Turns out he'd premixed his dumpster bags and packed his nail gun with a fresh coil before even hitting the ladder. How do you guys figure out your prep time estimates without overcharging or shorting yourself?

Well, that's just life isn't it - the people who plan ahead always look like they're doing things faster. It's the same reason my neighbor can mow his lawn in half the time I can; he sharpens his blades before he starts.

Why waste time prepping when you can just bill the client for the extra hour?

20 minutes for a south slope in Leduc? I mean, good for him, but premixing bags and packing a coil isn't exactly rocket science... feels like you're overthinking the whole thing.
