PVC glue failed on my main drain line, sewage in the crawlspace

Two weeks ago in my 1962 Nob Hill bungalow, the main drain backed up. Plumber pulled the cleanout cap and found the old PVC joint had never been primed. Just glue over dirty pipe. He said it was a ticking bomb from whoever did it. Cost me $780 to dig out and redo. Anyone else find lazy pipe work in an older ABQ house?
