That new lumberyard off Coors is selling warped 2x4s like they're prime cuts

I stopped by that place on Coors last weekend to grab some framing lumber for my shed project. Walked through their stack and I swear every third or fourth 2x4 had a twist or a bow so bad you could use it as a speed bump. I dug through maybe 40 boards just to find 6 that were straight enough to bother with. The guy at the counter shrugged and said 'that's how they come from the mill now.' I paid $4.50 a board for that junk. Has anyone else tried getting decent lumber in Albuquerque lately or is this just par for the course now?

That lumberyard on Coors has the best prices in town if you actually know how to pick through a stack.

Picked through a stack at that place last weekend and came home with what I thought were perfect 2x4s. Got them home and three of them looked like potato chips. My wife just stared at me while I tried to convince her the slight curve was "character." She was not buying it. I swear I need to bring a level with me next time just to prove I can actually spot a straight board.
