Tried the $12 peel and stick tile in my NE Heights bathroom, and I still think the fancy stuff is a waste
Everyone on here keeps pushing backer board and thinset for a small bathroom floor, but I pulled up the old vinyl in my place near Montgomery and Tramway and laid $12 peel and stick tile right over the concrete. That was 14 months ago and not one tile has lifted, even with two kids splashing water everywhere. I did clean the slab with denatured alcohol first and let it sit a full day, which I think is the part folks skip. Has anyone else gone the cheap route and actually had it hold up, or am I just lucky so far?
