Was super skeptical about spray foam insulation but after my August electric bill hit $320 I'm a believer now
My buddy kept pushing me to do the attic in my Rio Rancho house and I thought it was just hype but that bill vs last year's $480 finally convinced me, has anyone else seen that kind of drop?

Huh, I gotta respectfully disagree a bit here. In my experience, spray foam can actually cause more problems than it solves if you don't get the ventilation right. I've seen attics where people sealed everything up tight with foam and then ended up with moisture buildup and roof deck rot a few years down the road. That $160 drop is nice, but it might come with hidden costs if the house can't breathe properly. Just something to keep an eye on, your mileage may vary.

Respectfully @brookethomas, I've seen spray foam work just fine on older homes with proper vapor barriers, so it really depends on the setup.
