A bad capacitor on a 2019 fridge changed my whole view on part testing

I was knee-deep in a no-cool call in Tucson last month, swapped the compressor start relay and only after two hours of scratching my head did I check the run capacitor with a meter that read 8 uF instead of 35 uF, so now I test every single part before I recommend a replacement, and who else has been burned by a part that looked fine but was quietly failing?
