Am I the only one who blew $90 on a "universal" control board kit that fit one unit?
Honestly I still feel dumb about this one. Back in March I grabbed one of those "universal" control board kits off a supply site, $90 shipped, because the listing swore it covered like 40 fridge models. First job I pulled it out on, a Kenmore in a customer's garage over in Mesa, the mounting holes lined up with nothing and the wire harness plug was about a quarter inch too wide. I spent 45 minutes on the floor of that garage making it fit with zip ties before I gave up and just ordered the real board for $130. So I paid $90 to learn the thing fits exactly one model, and of course mine wasn't it. Anyone got a return story on those kits or am I the only one who got suckered?
