Bought a $60 "universal" timer for a Whirlpool fridge and it lasted 9 days

I was on a tight schedule last month so I grabbed a cheap universal defrost timer off a random site instead of ordering the real Whirlpool part, and it crapped out after 9 days. The fridge kept icing up, the customer called me back, and I ended up eating the $60 plus a second trip out to swap in the right one. Lesson is the aftermarket cross-reference charts lie more than they help. Anyone got a parts source that actually ships the right number the first time?
