Oven element failures forced me to add a step to my process

Oven elements kept failing after my fixes. I figured it was only the element most times. After the third comeback, I made myself look at the control board. Found a faulty relay messing with the power. Now I always check that part too. It takes a bit longer, but stops repeat issues. Wish I changed sooner.

Sometimes you just get a bad batch of parts. Checking extra stuff every time can waste more hours than it saves.

My buddy Tom had the same thing with AC units. He replaced three compressors on one house before he found a swollen capacitor on the board that was killing them. Now he checks that first every time, even though it adds ten minutes to the diagnosis.
