Overheard a guy say dryers don't need vents, almost walked out
Stopped by an HVAC supply place in Phoenix last Tuesday to grab a belt for a customer's Whirlpool. Some young tech was arguing with the counter guy that he could just route dryer exhaust into the attic to save ducting money. I told him lint buildup plus heat equals a fire risk, and he looked at me like I was speaking another language. He said his boss does it all the time to cut install time by 40 minutes. How do you handle customers or coworkers who push shortcuts that violate basic codes? I've turned down two jobs this month over stuff like this, but I'm losing money each time.
