Picked OEM part over generic for a Bosch dishwasher, cost me double

Had a circulation pump fail on a client's unit last Tuesday, generic was $140 and OEM was $280. I went with the Bosch part because I was tired of callbacks, and it dropped in perfect, no shimming needed. Anyone else eating the cost difference just to avoid a second trip?

Ugh, tell me about it, I read a forum thread where a guy swapped in a cheaper pump and it lasted like 4 months, so paying double upfront feels way better than that headache.
