Serious question, why do error codes on new fridges point to everything at once?

I was fixing a fridge yesterday that kept showing error code F2. The service manual said it could be the thermostat, the control board, or a wiring problem. That's SO vague and means I have to test three different things! I wasted half my day checking each part before I found a loose wire. It's INFURIATING when companies don't give clear diagnostics. A guy online mentioned some brands use better codes that actually help. Should we start complaining to manufacturers about this?

Probably so you give up and buy their service plan.

Yeah I had that happen with my dryer last year. I mean, I just looked up the error code online and found a video showing how to reset it. Took like two minutes. @theag97 is right though, they totally want you to call someone.
