Shoutout to the crew that helped me save a 150-year-old oak in Austin last Friday

We had 60 mph gusts coming through and that tree had a massive split right down the main trunk, but we got cables and braces in just before the worst of it hit - has anyone else had a close call with an old tree like that?

@jasons63 said "hard to come by in Texas" and that's the truth. I've lived here my whole life and seen way too many oaks get chopped for new developments. They just don't grow back quick either. You gotta protect the ones that are already standing.
