Vent: I spent 8 years tying my climbing line wrong and a hired hand pointed it out in 30 seconds
I used to always do a standard bowline on the bight for my canopy tie, then last spring a seasonal guy from Oregon looked at my knot and said, "you know that slips sideways under a shock load, right," and after testing it on a 40 foot red oak, I switched to a double figure eight and never looked back, has anyone else had a simple correction like that completely change their rigging setup?
