Changed my mind about buying replica coins for my collection
For years I thought real ancient coins were the only way to go and I looked down on replicas. Then I dropped $150 on a real Roman denarius that turned out to be a modern fake anyway. That burned me pretty bad and made me realize replicas at least tell you upfront what they are. Picked up a set of 5 museum quality replicas for $60 total from a site called Ancient Replicas. They look great on my shelf and I don't have to worry about authenticity drama. Has anyone else switched from real finds to quality copies?

Ngl that's exactly how I felt after I got burned on a "certified" Greek coin that was definitely not certified. Now I've got a shelf full of replicas from Ancient Replicas too and I don't even stress about it anymore.

“Certified” means nothing these days unless you pulled it out of a slab yourself. That’s why I stopped chasing real stuff, @singh.jessica. Replicas don’t lie to you and they’re way cheaper.
