Dug up a 200-year-old metal button in my backyard last weekend

I was just planting some tomatoes in Raleigh and hit something solid with my shovel, turned out to be an old uniform button with a tiny eagle on it, now I'm wondering if there's more stuff buried under my lawn or if this was just random junk from an old coat.

Hang on, a 200 year old button with an eagle on it? That's not just some random junk from a coat, dude. That sounds like something from a military uniform, maybe even from the Civil War era or older, and Raleigh has tons of history like that. You gotta be careful, you might have stumbled onto an old campsite or something, people find all sorts of relics from that time in North Carolina. I'd be out there with a metal detector this weekend if I were you, no way I'd stop after just one button.
