Found out the Great Pyramid of Giza was originally bright white and polished smooth... blew my mind reading that in a book at the library last week

Always thought it was just a sandy beige color before. That white polished look sounds insane.

Yo wtf really?? I always figured it was just sand colored because of all the pictures you see. But now that I think about it, that white limestone casing wouldve looked wild reflecting the sun. Probably looked like a giant beacon or something back in the day. Kinda makes me wish I could time travel just to see it in its prime.
