Hit 50 prehistoric artifacts in one field and had to stop counting
I was out near a plowed field in eastern Colorado last month, just walking after a rain. Started finding flakes, then a scraper, then a broken point. By the time I got to the far end of the field I had 50 pieces in my pockets. That's more than I've found in the last 3 years combined. Has anyone else had a day where the ground just gave up everything at once?

I read somewhere once that those big rain events basically wash off the dirt just right and the sun angle after can make stuff pop. That and plows dragging stuff up from deeper layers over years. 50 pieces though, that's insane. I had a day like that up in Nebraska a few years back where I found like 30 scrapers and points in one afternoon. It felt like someone dumped a collection there. Sometimes I wonder if these spots were camps or kill sites where people just lost stuff for hundreds of years and it all built up. Makes you think about what's still underground.

Crazy how these spots just keep giving, @anthony426, makes you wonder what else is buried out there.
