My professor said the Clovis spear points might not be the oldest, and now I don't know what to think
I was at a small museum talk in Santa Fe last month and a retired archaeologist named Dale told me he thinks the whole Clovis First idea is dying. He said sites like Monte Verde in Chile and the White Sands footprints keep pushing human arrival back thousands of years before Clovis. But my old professor insists the Clovis points are still the clearest proof of early people because the dating at those other sites is shaky. I honestly don't know which side to believe anymore. Has anyone here actually worked on a pre-Clovis dig, and did the evidence convince you?
