On a dig in Turkey last summer, a volunteer dropped a ceramic shard before we could document it. Do you think we should have stopped the whole day's work to find it, or was moving on the right call?

Totally get it, but I've done it. You're holding your phone over a perfect latte art, then your elbow bumps the cup and it's just a brown puddle. The moment is gone. Or you finally fix that weird noise in your car and forget to take a picture of the loose bolt you tightened. The proof just vanishes sometimes when you're in the middle of the actual task.
