That dig in Nevada where we found nothing but rusted cans for 6 days straight

6 days of sifting through what I swear was a 1920s garbage dump with zero pottery or tools, and it made me question if I should just switch to a desk job like my buddy Greg did.

Six days of rusted cans and nothing else is EXACTLY the kind of thing that makes you wonder if you're wasting your time. I've noticed this pattern everywhere, not just digging. You drive two hours to a spot because someone online said it was "hot," spend a whole day finding junk, and then the next week a guy posts a photo of a pristine axe he pulled from the same exact dirt. Life has this weird way of making you do all the grunt work so someone else can walk in and grab the good stuff. It's like the universe TESTING your patience, seeing if you'll quit before the real find comes. Most people do quit. That's why the good stuff stays hidden for the ones who keep showing up.

Used to think it was just bad luck but you're making a lot of sense. That universe testing thing hits hard.
