Back when I just googled my questions versus actually asking in a forum like this

Used to just type stuff into a search bar and hope. Got a million results, mostly old blog posts or ads. Half the time the info was wrong or outdated. Like that time I tried to fix my garage door opener from a 2012 forum post. Wasted a whole Saturday. Started posting my questions here instead. Real people give real answers, fast. Someone in Ohio had the exact same model and told me the trick with the reset button. Took five minutes. The difference is talking to humans who just did the thing, not reading some old article. Anyone else switch from just searching to actually asking?

Gotta love the internet time capsule. Someone's 12-year-old garage door question is probably still the top Google result because the forum software never got updated. The real mystery is if they ever got that weird squeak fixed.
