Figured out why my phone battery kept dying by noon every day
I kept thinking it was just an old phone or too many apps running in the background. Then I noticed my screen brightness was always maxed out because I work near a window in Denver. So I turned on auto-brightness and also switched to dark mode for all my apps. Now my battery lasts until like 9pm easily. Has anyone else found one random setting that saved their battery life?

What about turning off location services for most apps? I only let maps use my location all the time. Every other app is set to "while using" or just off completely. It was crazy how many random apps were always tracking where I was, draining the battery for no good reason. That one change made a huge difference for me.

Oh man, turning off background app refresh was a total game changer for me. I had no idea how many apps were constantly checking for updates even when I wasn't using them. My phone would get warm in my pocket just sitting there. After I switched that off, my battery life improved so much it was like getting a new phone. I only let a couple of really important apps refresh in the background now.
