Found a trick to stop my small circular saw from binding on wet wood

I was out in my backyard last weekend cutting some old 2x4s that had been sitting in the rain for a few days. My blade kept locking up and it was driving me nuts... finally tried waxing the blade with a plain candle stub before cutting. Total game changer, the saw just glided through like butter after that. Has anyone else tried this for pressure treated wood or is it just a wet lumber thing?

Man that sounds like a solid fix, I've been dealing with the same binding problem on damp lumber myself and never thought to try wax.

Did you apply wax directly to the blade or the fence, @jennifer_west52?
