Hit 1,000 consecutive days on Duolingo and it felt hollow
Hit 1,000 consecutive days on Duolingo last Tuesday and realized I was just clicking through Spanish lessons without actually remembering any of it, so has anyone else chased a streak number only to find you didn't learn much?

realized I was just clicking through Spanish lessons" - yeah that's the thing, Duolingo gamified the process so hard you end up playing instead of studying. The repetition helps some people but if you're just tapping answers without thinking, you're basically training your muscle memory not your brain.
