I dropped $200 on a professional document scanner app and it actually saved my life last month

My home office was a disaster. Piles of old bills, tax papers, and receipts everywhere. Couldn't find anything. Saw an ad for this scanning app that promised to organize it all. Figured it was a scam, but I was desperate. Downloaded it, cost about two hundred bucks for the full version. You just take pictures of your papers with your phone. It reads the text, sorts them into folders by date and type, and even finds important info like due dates. Found an unpaid medical bill from two years ago that got lost in a pile. Paid it before it went to collections. Has anyone else used something like this? Looking for cheaper options for my mom now.

Honestly, that sounds amazing. My version of organizing is just shoving everything in a drawer and hoping it sorts itself out.

Heard some apps do that for free, but they might not work as well.
