My $85 drill bit set turned into a doorstop, then a lifesaver

I bought this fancy titanium drill bit set back in March for drywall work, figured I was being smart. First job, two bits snapped on a stud I didn't see, waste of money right there. But last week I needed to make a clean hole in a ceramic pot for drainage, and those same bits went through like butter after I slowed the speed down. Funny how something can fail you one way and save you another. Total I've used maybe four of the twelve bits since, but that one pot saved me from buying a new planter set. Anybody else got a tool that only works in weird situations?
