Resisted meal prep for ages, now I get it
I always thought meal prep was for people with zero spontaneity, especially after my sister in Austin tried it and quit in 2 weeks. Last month I finally tried it for my 12-hour nursing shifts, and having 5 containers ready saved me from three vending machine disasters. What finally made it click for you, or did you bounce off it too?

Hold on, are you sure those five containers lasted you the whole week? In my experience, prepping five identical meals for a 12-hour shift rotation gets old by day three, and you end up staring at the same chicken and rice like it's a punishment. That's where most people I know bounce off, they prep too much of the same thing and call it quits. The real trick is prepping just two or three different meals and mixing them up, or even just prepping the parts, like grilled chicken and chopped veggies, then swapping sauces. Your sister in Austin might have had the right idea but the wrong setup. I'd say give it another week with some variety before you fully sign on to the cult.
