Threw $400 at a fiberglass front door for my listing in Boise and it paid off in one offer

That nicer door cost me about 400 bucks installed but the selling agent told me three buyers mentioned it as a deciding factor, has anyone else seen a single upgrade make that kind of difference?

Four hundred bucks is still four hundred bucks. You got lucky that time but most buyers are looking at square footage and kitchen updates not a front door. I've seen houses sit for months with brand new doors and nice paint jobs because the interior was junk. People make up their minds walking through the house not walking up to it. Curb appeal helps but it's not gonna sell a bad house with ugly floors and old appliances. Realtors love talking about first impressions but they'll also tell you that a new roof or HVAC system moves a house way faster. A door is just a door at the end of the day.

Oh man, $400 for a front door that lands you an offer? That's wild. Honestly, people get so hung up on backsplashes and countertops but overlook the front door. Maybe it's just me but first impressions matter a ton in Boise buyers are weirdly picky about curb appeal here. I mean, it's basically a big sign that says "we take care of our stuff" right? Great return on investment I'd say.
