TIL my old drill press was off by 2 degrees for the last 3 years

I was making some brackets last week at my shop and kept wondering why nothing lined up right. Turns out the table on my drill press had a slight tilt I never noticed after all that time. Has anyone else fixed a tool that turned out to be the problem the whole time?

Brought my buddy over to look at my saw one time since I kept getting wonky cuts. He looked at the fence, then at me, and just laughed. Turns out the fence was like half an inch out of square on one end. I had been eyeballing cuts for months thinking I just sucked at measuring. Felt real dumb after he showed me the actual problem.

Oh man, I had the same thing happen with my miter saw. I finally checked the blade angle with a square and realized it was off by almost 3 degrees. Simple fix too, just loosened a couple bolts and adjusted it. Made a world of difference in my cuts once I dialed it back in.
